Whenever there are moneys in the Treasury of the City which will not be required to be used by the City for a period of six months or more, those moneys may be invested in obligations of the City, obligations made eligible for the deposit or investment of interim moneys of subdivisions of the State under Ohio R.C. 135.14, bonds of the State and bonds of any other political subdivision of the State as to which there is no default of principal or interest. Those investments shall not be made at a price in excess of the then current market value of the obligations, and those obligations may be liquidated or sold for cash and for a sum not less than their current market price in the manner prescribed in Ohio R.C. 731.56 through 731.59.
