(a) The Bureau of Fire Prevention in the Oberlin Fire Department is hereby established, and shall be operated under the supervision of the Fire Chief.
(b) No person shall serve as Municipal Fire Safety Inspector unless he/she has received a certificate issued by the Ohio Department of Public Safety under former Sections 3303.07 or Section 4765.55 of the Revised Code, evidencing satisfactory completion of a Certified Fire Safety Inspector training program.
(c) The Fire Chief may appoint members of the Fire Department as Fire Safety Inspectors to assist in the enforcement of the Fire Prevention Code and, under the direction of the Fire Chief, issue citations.
