1145.02 INSPECTIONS, TESTS AND APPROVALS.   
   (a)   Inspection Required. All electrical wiring and equipment installed, altered, replaced or repaired in or about a building shall be subject to inspection and approval by the City.

   (b)   Concealing Work Prior to Inspection Prohibited; Notices. No electrical wiring or parts thereof shall be covered or concealed without authorization to do so from the City. It shall be the duty of the person obtaining the permit to give notice to the City when work is ready for inspection. Work shall then be inspected within three working days after receipt of the notice and when found to conform to the provisions of the Electrical Code, an official notice of approval shall be affixed in a conspicuous place by the Inspector.

   (c)   Roughing-In. All roughing-in for electrical wiring shall be inspected and approved before any device, appliance or equipment is installed or connected.
   (d)   Final Inspection and Approval. All work shall be submitted for final approval and inspection before being placed in service. If upon final inspection the electrical wiring and equipment is found to be complete and in conformity with the provisions of the Electrical Code, a certificate of approval shall be issued by the City.
   (e)   Material and Labor for Tests. Tests necessary to verify that the work has been installed in conformity with the Electrical Code shall be made in the presence of an authorized inspector of the City. All equipment, material, power and labor necessary for the tests shall be furnished by the person to whom the permit is issued.
   (f)   Correction of Work not Approved; Stop Work Order. If the inspector finds that the work does not pass the inspection required, the person to whom the permit was issued shall make the necessary corrections and the work shall then be resubmitted for inspection. Not less than twenty-four hours nor more than seventy-two hours will be allowed for the purpose of correcting rejected work. A failure to correct rejected work shall be cause for issuance of a stop work order on the entire building project.
