1143.05 RENEWAL OF LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES.
   Each license shall expire on December 31 following the date of its issue and shall be renewed by the City upon application of the holder of the license and certificate. Payment of the required fees may be made any time before or on January 1 of each year. If there is a lapse of over sixty days from the expiration of a license renewal, the renewal fee shall be the same as on an original application. All persons required to procure licenses on October 1, 1956, under the provisions of Ordinance 544, passed October 1, 1956, shall do so within sixty days. Upon presentation of a written affidavit by an applicant stating that the applicant has engaged in the installation, maintenance, alteration and repair of electric wiring, devices, appliances and equipment as a business, or has been employed in the City for a period of not less than three years prior to October 1, 1956, the applicant shall not be required to pass an examination but shall pay the initial fee. The affidavit shall be subject to review and approval by the Housing Renewal Commission before issuance of a license by the City. The applicant, upon approval by the Housing Renewal Commission, shall pay the required fee as stipulated in Section 1143.03.
