A license and certificate shall be issued by the City and shall be designated as an electrician's license.
(a) Permitted Work; Hiring Assistants. This class of license shall entitle the holder thereof to undertake the work of installation, servicing, maintaining or repairing electrical devices, appliances, wiring and equipment in the City, on premises wherein power supply connections of the utility company exist. Nothing in this section shall prohibit the employment of unlicensed helpers to assist licensed electricians.
(b) Application. Applications for licenses shall be made in writing to the City and state the class of license applied for, the name, address and place of business of the applicant and the name of the representative of the applicant who will act as the supervisor of the work to be done under the license. All license applications shall be certified by the City to the Housing Renewal Commission.
(c) Holder of License. Each applicant for a license issued in accordance with the provisions of this section shall be known as the holder of the license.
