The following rules are hereby adopted as the safe and practical standard for the installation, alteration, repair and use of electrical equipment in the village:
A. Chicago Electrical Code: The rules and regulations of the city of Chicago electrical code 2018 Edition of the Chicago Electrical Code, based on the 2017 National Electrical Code, are hereby adopted, save and except such portions as are hereafter deleted, modified or amended, and with the addition of those sections hereafter set forth as additions thereto, the same are incorporated as if fully set forth herein; one copy having been and now being on file with the clerk, with the exceptions set forth in section 6-2-4 of this chapter.
Where any provision of 2018 Edition of the Chicago Electrical Code conflict with any provisions of this village code, the provisions of the village code shall prevail and shall be applied as law of the village.
B. Village Regulations: The rules and regulations regarding the installation, alteration, repair and use of electrical equipment as last adopted by the village, with the exception that entrance wiring shall be in accordance with local utility company rules.
