§ 117.21 SUSPENSION OR REVOCATION OF LICENSES.
Failure to pay the tax imposed by this subchapter and after the 15 day notice period set forth in § 117.20 of this subchapter, shall constitute grounds for revocation, suspension or nonrenewal of the operator’s hotel or motel license issued under subchapter 117 of this code; provided, however, that before any revocation, suspension or nonrenewal, the operator shall have an opportunity to be heard at the next regular meeting of the City Council after the 15 day notice period set forth in § 117.20 of this subchapter, but not before five days notice of the time and place of the hearing, addressed to the operator at his or her last known place of business. The suspension or revocation of any license shall not release or discharge the operator of hotel accommodations from civil liability for the payment of the tax nor from prosecution of the offense.
