§ 31.030 ESTABLISHMENT OF POSITION, COMPENSATION, AND BOND.
   (A)   Establishment. There is established in and for the city the position of City Administrator, which office shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council. He/she shall be chosen on the basis of their operative and administrative qualifications with special reference to their actual experience in, or his/her knowledge of, accepted practice to the duties of their office herein set forth. Such appointment shall be for an indefinite period as provided by law.
   (B)   Compensation. The City Administrator shall receive compensation as determined from time to time by the Mayor with the consent of Council. The compensation shall include, at a minimum, sick pay and vacation pay as per city policy.
   (C)   Bond. The City Administrator shall furnish a surety bond in such sum and form as required by Council, the bond to be conditioned on the faithful performance of his or her duties. The premium of the bond shall be paid by the city.
