All elected or appointed officers of the city shall, before entering upon the duties of their respective offices, take and subscribe to the following oath:
I _______ do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, the Constitution of the State of Illinois, the Codes and Ordinances of the City of Oak Forest, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of _______ for the City of Oak Forest according to the best of my abilities.
