(A) A mayoral nominee for appointment failing to receive a majority vote of all elected aldermen may serve as a temporary appointment for a period of 30 days.
(B) At the expiration of this 30-day period, the Mayor may resubmit the same nominee for appointment. If the nominee again fails to receive a majority vote of all elected aldermen, the nominee will remain in his or her position for a second 30-day period.
(C) At the expiration of the second 30-day period, the Mayor must submit a new name for consideration by Council.
(D) No temporary appointment of any one person shall be made more than twice in any one fiscal year.
