§ 110.006 INSPECTIONS AND INVESTIGATIONS.
   Upon receipt of an application for a license or permit, in those cases where the ordinances of the municipality necessitate an inspection or investigation, the City Clerk shall, before the issuance of the permit or license, refer the application to the proper officer for the investigation or inspection within 48 hours of the time of the receipt. The officer charged with the duty of making the investigation or inspection shall make a report thereon, in writing, within ten days after receiving the application. The Health Commissioner shall make inspections of all premises in regard to compliance with sanitation regulations; the Fire Chief shall make inspections in regard to compliance with fire regulations; and the Building Commissioner shall make or cause to be made inspections in regard to compliance with ordinances relating to the construction of buildings or other structures. All investigations, except where otherwise provided, shall be made by the Chief of Police or by some other officer designated by the Mayor.
