(A) If a firefighter/paramedic is not certified during his or her probationary period or an extension thereof, he or she shall be terminated.
(B) If a firefighter/paramedic is not recertified as required by the resource hospital, then his or her base salary shall be immediately decreased by 20% until he or she has completed ten years of service in his or her respective department, after which he or she shall be restored to the then current base salary.
