All individuals who are appointed by the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners to a probationary status within the Fire Department must be advised that during their respective probationary period they are required to become state certified paramedics through the then established resource hospital with which the city is associated, and those individuals shall comply with the requirement prior to the termination of their probationary period. Advertisements for examination shall include this provision.
