(A) The city is responsible for the maintenance of all water mains, hydrants, valves and meters in the public way up to and including the B-box valve and/or meter vault.
(B) The owner is responsible for the maintenance of the service line from the B-box valve or meter vault to the inside point of service. It is the owner’s responsibility to repair any underground leak between these two points, to keep this line from freezing and to pay for lost water.
