§ 50.01 ILLINOIS PLUMBING CODE; REQUIREMENTS FOR INSTALLATION OF BACKFLOW PREVENTION DEVICE.
   (A)   All plumbing installed within the City of Oak Forest shall be installed in accordance with the Illinois Plumbing Code, 77 Ill. Adm. Code 890.
   (B)   In accordance with the Illinois Plumbing Code or in the judgment of the Community Development Director, or his or her designee, an approved backflow prevention device is necessary for the safety of the public water supply system, the Community Development Director, or his or her designee, will give notice to the water customer to install an approved backflow prevention device immediately at the customers sole cost and expense and in conformity with all applicable state and city statutes, ordinances, rules, and regulations.
   (C)   Upon installation, the Building Commissioner, or his or her designee, shall inspect, test, and approve a backflow protection device installed pursuant to division (B) above. The customer shall be responsible for the cost of any inspection and test upon written demand of the city. Copies of every test of devices shall be filed with the Community Development Director.
   (D)   In accordance with the authority set forth in divisions (A), (B) and (C) above, the Community Development Director, or his or her designee, shall have the right to enter any property and building at any reasonable time to conduct any inspection or testing. Further, on demand of the Community Development Director, or his or her designee, the owner, lessee or occupant of a property shall furnish to the Community Development Director, or his or her designee, any information that he or she may request regarding the piping system or systems or water use on the property.
