(A) It shall be unlawful to operate a short-term/vacation rental, offer for rent, or advertise for rent a short-term/vacation rental within the City of Oak Forest without a current, valid license issued pursuant to the terms of this subchapter.
(B) Each license issued shall be valid for one year, and subject to renewal. Every license issued pursuant to the short-term/vacation rental provisions of this Chapter 117 will terminate on December 31 following its issuance, unless suspended or revoked, and must be renewed before operation is allowed in the following year.
(C) A license issued under the short-term/vacation rental provisions of this Chapter 117 is personal to the licensee and may not be transferred or otherwise conveyed to a third party. Any transfer or conveyance of the business or ownership requires the licensee or transferee to reapply and otherwise qualify for the issuance of a new license. Any transfer of a license or any interest in a license immediately terminates the license.
