§ 95.34 FERAL CAT COLONY.
   (A)   The city may enter into agreements with organizations designated by the Cook County Animal Control office as participating in a feral cat colony program in efforts to reduce the feral cat population.
   (B)   It shall be unlawful for a person to provide food, water or shelter to a colony of free-roaming cats, unless:
      (1)   The colony is a managed colony, registered with approved sponsor; and
      (2)   Feral cat colony caretakers shall be entitled to maintain and care for feral cats by providing food, water, shelter and other forms of sustenance, provided that the feral cat colonies are registered with a Cook County approved sponsor, and that the feral cat colony caretaker takes all appropriate and available steps to meet the terms and conditions of this section.
   (C)   Feral cat colonies are exempt from § 95.32.
   (D)   All persons maintaining a feral cat colony shall follow all rules and regulations as established by the Cook County Code of Ordinances, Chapter 10, Article IV Managed Care of Feral Cats.
