§ 31.226 DUTIES.
   The Network Administrator position shall include the prompt and efficient performance of each of the following functions:
   (A)   Identify, install and maintain networking solutions for all departments;
   (B)   Perform daily tasks including tape backups, virus definitions and critical patches;
   (C)   Provide a safe and secure network system;
   (D)   Install personal computers, printers, servers and related peripherals;
   (E)   Upgrade hardware and software as needed;
   (F)   Provide a backup solution and/or problem resolution for all network components in a timely manner;
   (G)   Train and assist network users;
   (H)   Monitor, update and improve the City of Oak Forest’s website;
   (I)   Develop yearly technology budget;
   (J)   Communicate with all city departments to identify technology needs;
   (K)   Understand users’ daily processes to develop automated solutions;
   (L)   Research and make recommendations regarding upgrades and replacement of information technology;
   (M)   Keep current with technological advances related to the City of Oak Forest operations; and
   (N)   Provide other computer related services as may be directed by the Mayor and City Administrator.
