§ 31.206 QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.
   (A)   The office shall be elected on a citywide basis. The times of elections shall be as scheduled in ILCS Ch. 10, Act 5, § 2A-1.2 entitled “Consolidated Schedule of Elections — Offices Designated.”
   (B)   The qualifications of minimum age and residency shall be as designated as ILCS Ch. 65, Act 5, § 3-14-1.
   (C)   The required number of signatures shall be as listed in ILCS Ch. 10, Act 5, § 10-3 entitled “Independent Candidates; Nominating Papers.” The nominating papers shall include the following papers:
      (1)   Statement of candidacy;
      (2)   Petition for election;
      (3)   Loyalty oath, at the option of the candidate; and
      (4)   Statement of economic interest.
   (D)   (1)   The place and times of filing shall be identical to those of other citywide municipal offices.
      (2)   The election to the office shall also be subject to State Board of Election procedures.

   The statute cited in division (B) of this section has been repealed. Qualifications for elective municipal offices are currently set forth in ILCS Ch. 65, Act 5, § 3.1-10-5.
