§ 120.02 CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any general contractor, public utility contractor or trade contractor to perform demolition or construction work within the city that requires a building permit unless the general contractor, public utility contractor or trade contractor, not otherwise exempt from the registration requirements of this chapter, holds a current valid contractor registration with the city.
   (B)   It shall be unlawful for any general contractor, public utility contractor or trade contractor to employ, hire or contract with a trade contractor to perform demolition or construction work within the city that requires a building permit unless the general contractor, public utility contractor or trade contractor, not otherwise exempt from the registration requirements of this chapter, holds a current valid contractor registration at the time that the trade contractor performs the demolition or construction work within the city.
