Any city-wide garage sale, as conducted by the city itself, shall be exempt from the requirement established in § 112.51 of this subchapter for a permit. Such sale shall include only the personal property of residents of the city or their families, and shall comply with the terms and conditions of § 112.52(D), (E), (G), (I) and (L) of this subchapter. If so ordered by the Chief of Police, parking shall be permitted only on one side of any street during the city-wide garage sale, as evidenced by the posting of appropriate signs, and such restrictions shall be enforced during the time of the sale.
