7-3-4: CONSTRUCTION:
In addition to the rules, regulations and specifications promulgated by the city engineer with respect to driveway approaches, the following requirements shall be complied with in the work done under the provisions of this chapter:
   A.   The entire curb, or curb and gutter, and end slopes, if applicable, shall first be removed for the width of the proposed driveway.
   B.   No portion of a curb cut shall be constructed within fifteen feet (15') of the intersection of the extension of the property lines of a corner lot.
   C.   No curb cuts shall be constructed beyond any property line as projected.
   D.   The top of the depressed curb cut shall be one and five- eighths inches (15/8") above the flow line of the gutter. The top of the concrete apron shall start at one and five-eighths inches (15/8") at the depressed curb height and slope back three feet (3') to a height equal to the curb face.
   E.   The owner and contractor shall protect the public from injury or damage during the construction of driveway approaches, and the city shall not be liable for damage which may arise from the prosecution of work. (1962 Code § 8-4-7)
