§ 157.05 PROBATIONARY PERIOD.
   (a)   All newly hired employees automatically serve a six-month probationary period; however, a supervisor may, for just cause, extend the original probationary period by three additional months with the permission of the Mayor and Town Council. The probationary period is not to exceed nine months. If at any time during the probationary period the probationer’s performance is unsatisfactory, he or she will be terminated.
   (b)   Police Department personnel are required to serve their full one-year probationary period as stated under the Civil Service Code.
