(a) Placarding of Structure, Premises or Equipment. After any notice of violation required under the provisions of Norwood Building Code (NBC) has resulted in an order by virtue of failure to comply within the time given, the Building Commissioner may post a placard on the premises or structure or parts thereof, or on defective equipment. Such placard shall bear the following: an appropriate warning; the effective date of the order; and a statement of the penalties provided for any occupancy or use after the specified date or for removing the placard.
(b) Prohibited Use. Any person who occupies a placarded premises or structure or part thereof, or uses placarded equipment, and any owner or any person responsible for the premises who lets anyone occupy a placarded premises shall be liable for the penalties provided by Section 1305.99.
(c) Removal of Placard. The Building Commissioner shall remove the condemnation placard whenever the defect or defects upon which the condemnation and placarding action were based have been eliminated. Any person who defaces or removes a condemnation placard without the approval of the Building Commissioner shall be subject to the penalties provided by Section 1305.99.
