SECTION 3.10. CLERK OF COUNCIL.
Council shall appoint from outside its membership a Clerk of Council who shall serve until removed by Council or otherwise vacates the position. The duties of the Clerk of Council shall be to give notices of meetings, keep the journal of Council proceedings, advertise public hearings, record ordinances and resolutions, supervise official publication of ordinances and resolutions required by this Charter and the rules of Council, and such other duties as Council may assign to his/her office. Council may fill any vacancy in the office of Clerk of Council.
