SECTION 3.03. VACANCY, CREATION OF.
Once elected and sworn in, a member of Council shall vacate his/her office:
1. By ceasing to be a qualified elector; or,
2. By removal of his/her permanent residence to a place outside the limits of the City, or, if a representative of a ward, to a place outside the limits of such ward; or,
3. By written resignation filed with the Clerk of Council; or,
4. By the acceptance of and entering upon the duties of another public office; or,
5. By being interested in a contract with the City in a manner prohibited by general law or by this Charter or enactments of Council pursuant thereto; or,
6. By absence, without excuse acceptable to four (4) of the other members of Council, from three (3) consecutive regular meetings of Council; or,
7. By being recalled from office; or,
8. By removal from office for malfeasance as provided by general law; or,
9. By conviction while in office of a crime involving moral turpitude; or,
10. By being adjudicated legally incompetent; or,
11. By death.
