1510.13 EXEMPTION FOR INDOOR/OUTDOOR FURNACES.

(a) A furnace that otherwise meets the definition of "exterior furnace" under Section 1510.01(a) but also is UL approved and manufacturer certified for installation and use indoors shall be considered to be an "interior/exterior furnace".

(b) An interior/exterior furnace that is affixed, installed or situated indoors for the primary purpose of heating the structure in which it is situated shall comply with all recommendations of the manufacturer concerning indoor installation but otherwise shall not be subject to the provisions of this Chapter.

(c) An interior/exterior furnace that is affixed, installed or situated out-of-doors shall be subject to the provisions of this Chapter.
