SECTION 5.07 DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS.

   The Director of Public Works shall perform, except as otherwise provided by ordinance, the functions of management and direction of the operations, maintenance, repair, construction and improvements for water treatment, wastewater treatment, water distribution, sewer collection, streets, street lighting and signals, sidewalks, and zoning enforcement, and such other duties not inconsistent with his/her office as may be assigned to him/her by ordinance or by the Chief Executive Officer. In performing his/her functions the Director of Public Works shall assume those powers and duties pertaining to the duties and functions set forth herein normally conferred upon the Director of Service by the Ohio Revised Code.
