Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter restricting the use of combustible materials, letters and decorations of signs and outdoor advertising displays may be of approved plastic, unless the same are prohibited by the Ohio Building Code and other provisions applying to limitations on the use of approved combustible plastics.
In addition, plastics may be used in electric signs where and to the extent permitted under the provisions of Section 1454.40 and Chapter 1432.
