(a) Except as provided in Section 1454.25(b), the lowest part of a roof sign or roof bulletin, except the necessary supporting and bracing members, shall be not less than five feet above the roof over which such roof sign or roof bulletin is erected. However, when the bottom of the supporting beams or girders are less than five feet above such roof, the lowest part of such roof sign or roof bulletin shall be not less than five feet above the top of such beams or girders. When the bottom of any supporting beam or girder, for a roof sign or roof bulletin, is less than five feet above the roof, the top of such beam or girder shall be not more than three feet above the roof.
(b) There shall be a clearance or passageway of not less than five feet between the vertical supports or braces for roof signs or roof bulletins, except roof signs provided for in Section 1454.25(b).
