1430.11 RAISING ADJOINING CHIMNEYS.
   (a)   When Required. Whenever the top of any chimney or stack is so located that, in the opinion of the Fire Chief, the chimney or stack will or does cause an undue fire hazard, or when, in the opinion of the Health Department, the chimney or stack will or does cause a condition dangerous to the health of the occupants of the surrounding buildings or of the building on which such chimney or stack is located, such chimney or stack shall be increased in height or be otherwise altered to eliminate the fire hazard when so ordered by the Fire Chief, or to eliminate the danger to health when so ordered by the Department of Health.
   (b)   Construction. The construction of the chimney or stack when raised or altered shall conform to the requirements of this chapter and the Ohio Building Code, but in no case shall the internal area of an extended flue be less than that of the existing flue.
