1424.04 APPEALS FROM SUPERINTENDENT’S DECISION; PROCEDURE; FEES.
   (a)   Any decision of the Superintendent of Building and Zoning Inspection made in the enforcement of this Building and Housing Code may be appealed to the Board of Zoning and Building Appeals by any person adversely affected by such decision.
   (b)   An appeal shall be perfected by the appellant filing with the Superintendent a notice of his or her intention to appeal, and a recital of the decision appealed and the appellant’s exceptions thereto, together with a fee of two hundred dollars ($200.00), payable to the City, to be deposited in the Trust Account. Upon receipt of such notice and other matter herein required, the Superintendent shall, within seven business days thereafter, transmit to the members of the Board a copy of the notice of appeal, the recital of the decision appealed and of the appellant’s exceptions thereto, together with a statement by the Superintendent of his or her reasons for such decision.
   (c)   The appellant may, at his or her own expense, be represented at the hearing of his or her appeal by counsel and by any experts on the question appealed, whom he or she may select. The Board shall have the authority to call in such other persons for testimony as it sees fit.
