The Director of Public Safety may place and maintain traffic control devices, as the same relate to the placing, timing and coordinating of traffic control devices, conforming to the Uniform Manual and specifications, upon all public ways of the City as are necessary to indicate and to carry out the traffic laws of the State, this Traffic Code and other ordinances of the City, and to regulate, warn or guide traffic pursuant to the authority contained in Section 406.04.
