633.09 HOMEOWNERS' OUTDOOR EQUIPMENT.
   (a)   No person shall operate engine or motor-powered lawn or maintenance tools intended for use in residential areas, typically capable of being used by homeowners (such as power mowers, garden tools, riding tractors, power saws, edgers, etc.) which create a noise that exceeds the fixed source noise level for the zone at the property line of the property affected by the noise emission, except between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. on weekdays and between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. on weekends and legal holidays.
   (b)   Homeowners' outdoor equipment must have mufflers, where applicable, and such mufflers must be in good working condition.
   (c)   Snow blowers and snow plows are exempted from the time requirements of this section when being used for the removal of snow and ice.
   (d)   Whoever violates any of the provisions of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. A separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues. The penalty shall be as provided in Section 698.02.
