(a) No person shall permit any minor to play, use or deposit money in any slot machine, or any gambling device, whether the reward or gain which may be obtained thereby is in the shape of money, cigars, cigarettes, drinks or any other commodity, or checks exchangeable therefor.

(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor and shall be subject to the penalty provided in Section 698.02.
