290.01 CLERK.
   (a)   The position of Clerk of the Mayor's Court is hereby created, subject to the requirements, terms and conditions hereafter stated.

   (b)   The position shall be filled by appointment by the Mayor with the advice and consent of Council. The Clerk shall perform such duties as are assigned by the Mayor in connection with the operation of the Court and as are identified in the job description on file with the City Administrator. Such job description requirements and duties are subject to change from time to time upon the recommendation of the Mayor and the approval of Council. Such job description shall be signed and approved prior to acceptance of employment by the Clerk of the Mayor's Court.
   (c)   The position of Clerk of the Mayor's Court shall be a salaried full-time position and such Clerk shall not be entitled to overtime pay. Compensation shall be established by Council.
   (d)   The Clerk shall be subject to dismissal, with or without cause, upon the recommendation of the Mayor and with the approval of Council. Such dismissal shall be effective as of the end of the next full pay period following approval thereof by Council. In the event of a vacancy for any reason, such vacancy shall be filled as soon as reasonably possible as provided for the appointment of such official.
