All fire-fighters shall be at least eighteen years of age and able bodied. All fire-fighters shall be able to perform the physical requirements necessary to carry out fire-fighting duties and shall pass a satisfactory mental and physical examination. They shall become members of the Volunteer Fire Department only after a twelve-month probationary period and certification by the State as required by Ohio R.C. 3303.07.
