Nominations for elective offices of the Municipality shall be made only by petition filed with the election authorities not later than the first Tuesday after the first Monday in July immediately prior to a regular Municipal election and signed by electors of the Municipality not less in number than two percent (2%) of the number of electors voting at the last general Municipal election with a minimum of twenty-five (25) signatures. The nomination of each candidate shall be made by a separate petition accompanied by the written acceptance of nomination by the candidate. (Amended Nov. 4, 1997)
