(A) Prohibited; exceptions. It shall be unlawful for any person to play catch, bat a ball, kick or throw a football, or engage in any exercise or sport upon the city streets; provided this section shall not apply to playing on culs-de-sac, circles, dead-end streets and any other non-through street. Nothing in this section shall be construed to prohibit or prevent the governing body from ordering from time to time certain streets and public places blocked off for the purpose of providing a safe area to engage in such exercise and sport.
(B) Penalty. Any person who violates this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished as provided in § 130.999(A)(1).
