(A) The city shall hold harmless the Manager, when acting in good faith and without malice, from all personal liability for any damage that may accrue to any person or property as a result of any act required by this chapter or by reason of any act or omission of the Manager in the discharge of his or her duties under this chapter.
(B) Any suit brought against the Manager because of any such act or omission in carrying out of the provisions of this chapter shall be defended by the city’s Law Department through final determination of the proceedings.
