A. On all residential streets the gross weight of any type motor vehicle including the weight of the vehicle and its maximum loads shall not exceed ten thousand (10,000) pounds, except when such vehicle is making a local delivery, and then such vehicle shall proceed to its destination via a section street line or highway which is closest to it.
