6-2-10: MOTOR DRIVEN OR ELECTRIC CYCLES; RESTRICTIONS ON USE:
   A.   For purposes of this section, the term "motor driven or electric cycles" is defined as any motorcycle, motor scooter, motorized pedalcycle, or motor driven skateboard with less than one hundred fifty (150) cubic centimeter piston displacement, or any electric scooter, electric pedalcycle or electric skateboard.
   B.   No person shall operate a motor driven or electric cycle upon any public sidewalk or bike path, or in any public park. No person shall operate a motor driven or electric cycle upon any public or private street, upon any alleyway, or within any public parking lot, unless such vehicle bears a valid license registration issued by the secretary of state, and unless the operator has a valid driver's license.
   C.   The sellers of such motor driven or electric cycle must prominently post a sign which shall be no smaller than four feet by four feet (4' x 4') with two inch (2") block lettering which states:
The operation of Motor Driven or Electric Cycle on any sidewalk, bike path or public parking lot is prohibited by local ordinance. Such vehicles may not be operated on any public street unless such vehicles bears a valid license registration issued by the Secretary of State and the operator has a valid drivers license.
   D.   The seller of such motor driven or electric cycle must also give the purchaser a notice on eight and one-half inch by eleven inch (81/2" x 11") white paper with no less than twelve (12) point black print bearing the legend set forth in subsection C of this section prior to completing such sale.
