Upon the issuance of a license, the city clerk shall deliver to the applicant a metal plate or decalcomania device or other form of sticker emblem which shall be affixed by the licensee upon the front end of the motor vehicle licensed, or in the case of a decalcomania or sticker emblem, the same shall be affixed in the lower right hand corner of the windshield in such a manner as to be easily read from the outside. No motor vehicle, although duly licensed, shall be used upon the streets or alleys of the city unless such metal plate or decalcomania device is attached thereto. Any person carrying license plate or decalcomania device shall keep the same clean of dust and mud so that the same can be plainly seen at all times. (Ord. O-52-95, 10-2-1995)
