2-1-4: BACKGROUND CHECKS REQUIRED:
Prior to the appointment of a board or commission member, the chief of police or his designee shall be directed to conduct a background check on said prospective appointee. Upon receipt of the results of the background check, the mayor shall determine whether or not to appoint said prospective appointee. (Ord. O-43-96, 9-16-1996; amd. Ord. O-06-2014, 3-3-2014)
