1-15-11: SCHEDULE OF FINES/PENALTIES:
The fines and penalties which shall be imposed shall be as follows:
   A.   For violation of any City ordinance other than a violation of the Traffic Code of the City, fines and penalties shall be as provided in this Code and shall include the assessment of costs upon finding a defendant liable for the charge violation, except, in no event shall the Hearing Officer have authority to: 1) impose a penalty of incarceration, or 2) impose a fine in excess of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00). The monetary fines shall be exclusive of the cost of enforcement or the costs imposed to secure compliance with this code and shall not be applicable in cases to enforce the collection of any tax imposed and collected by the city.    B.   Unless otherwise provided in this code, the fines and penalties which shall be imposed for the violation of vehicular standing, parking, or compliance regulation violation(s) shall be as follows:

Upon service of a violation and paid within 10 days of the violation notice issuance, and no "request for hearing" has been timely filed, the fine amount owed shall be:

Having failed to pay the fine amount by the deadline date (within 10 days of the violation notice of issuance) as specified in step 1, the fine amount, if paid after the deadline date in step 1 but prior to the first hearing date, will be:

   C.   Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in subsections A and B of this section or any other provision of this code, the hearing officer may, with the consent of the defendant, impose a period of community service as an alternative to the payment of a fine and costs. For purposes of this subsection, "community service" means service performed on behalf of a religious, charitable or governmental entity which has been approved by the hearing officer as an eligible beneficiary of community service pursuant to this subsection.
