505.11 HUNTING AND TRAPPING.
   (a)   As used in this section:
      (1)   “Person” means an individual, company, partnership, corporation, municipal corporation, association, or any combination of individuals, or any employee, agent or officer thereof.
      (2)   “Hunting” means pursuing, shooting, killing, following after or on the trail of, lying in wait for, shooting at, or wounding wild birds or wild quadrupeds while employing any device commonly used to kill or wound wild birds or wild quadrupeds, whether or not the acts result in the killing or wounding of such wild birds or wild quadrupeds. “Hunting” includes every attempt to kill or wound and every act of assistance to any other person in killing or wounding or attempting to kill or wound wild birds or wild quadrupeds.
      (3)   “Trapping” means securing or attempting to secure possession of wild birds or wild quadrupeds by means of setting, placing, drawing or using any device that is designed to close upon, hold fast, confine, or otherwise capture a wild bird or wild quadruped, whether or not the means results in capturing or not. “Trapping” includes every act of assistance to any other person in capturing wild birds or wild quadrupeds by means of the device, whether or not the means results in capturing such wild birds or wild quadrupeds.
   (b)   No person shall be permitted to hunt on any parcel of land in the Village that is less than five acres in size.
   (c)   No person shall be permitted to do any type of hunting or trapping on any property owned by the Village without written permission from the Mayor of the Village. Said permission shall be in possession of the person authorized by the Mayor and shall be shown to all authorized game wardens and law enforcement officers upon request.
   (d)   No person shall be permitted to hunt within a distance of 500 feet from any occupied structure, dwelling or out building within the boundaries of the Village.
   (e)   No person shall be permitted to hunt within a distance of 500 feet of any roadway within the legal boundaries of the Village.
   (f)   Whoever violates any of the provisions of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree. If an offender has previously been convicted of a violation of any of the provisions of this section within one year of the second conviction, the sentencing shall include a mandatory one hundred dollar ($100.00) minimum fine.
