1343.01 DEFINITIONS.
   As used in this chapter:
   (a)    "Club swimming pool" means an artificial body of water with a controlled water supply used collectively by persons for swimming or recreative bathing, where such persons are members of a club or association having twenty-five or more members, or families of club members or guests of club members, and where the public is otherwise excluded.
   (b)    "Family swimming pool" means an artificial body of water with a controlled water supply, over eighteen inches in depth occupying more than 200 square feet of surface area, used or intended to be used solely by the owner or lessee thereof and, by his or her family and by friends invited to use it without payment of any fee.
   (c)    "Private swimming pool" means an artificial body of water with a controlled water supply, over eighteen inches in depth or occupying more than 200 square feet of surface area, owned directly or indirectly and operated by a small number of families (not to exceed twenty-five) and used and intended to be used solely by the cooperating families and by friends invited to use it without payment of any fee.
   (d)    "Public swimming pool" means an artificial body of water with a controlled water supply, used collectively by persons for swimming or recreative bathing, but does not include family swimming pools or club swimming pools.
