553.06 CLOSING OF RAILROAD/STREET CROSSING BY RAILROAD COMPANIES; PERMIT REQUIRED.
   (a)   Commencing January 1, 1992, any railroad company that desires to close a railroad/street crossing within the Village for repairs or maintenance shall apply to the Mayor for a permit to do so.
   (b)   The Mayor is hereby authorized to issue a permit for the closing of a railroad/street crossing by a railroad company for repairs or maintenance for only one railroad/street crossing at any given period of time.
   (c)   No railroad company operating within the Village shall close a railroad/street crossing for repairs or maintenance without first obtaining the above-mentioned permit from the Mayor. (Ord. O-92-007. Passed 1-6-92.)
   (d)   Any railroad company violating any of the provisions of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor for each offense. A separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
