915.04 PRIVATE SEWAGE DISPOSAL.
   (a)   When Public Sewer Not Available. Where a public sanitary sewer is not available under the provisions of Section 915.03 (d), the building sewer shall be connected to a private sewage disposal system complying with the provisions of the regulations of the Wood County Health Department.
   (b)   Conformity with Department of Public Health. The type, capacities, location, and layout of a private sewage disposal system shall comply with all provision of the regulations of the Wood County Health Department.
   (c)   Use of Public Sewer as Soon as Available. At the time a public sewer becomes available to a property served by a private sewage disposal system, as provided in Section 915.03 (d), a direct connection shall be made to the public sewer in compliance with this chapter, and any septic tanks or similar private sewage disposal facilities shall be abandoned and filled with suitable material in accordance with all applicable requirements of this ordinance.
   (d)   Sanitary Operation. The owners shall operate and maintain the private sewerage disposal system facility in a sanitary manner and in compliance at all times with the regulations of this Village and of the Wood County Health Department, at no expense to the Village.
   (e)   Authority of Health Department. No statement contained in this chapter shall be construed to interfere with any additional requirements that may be imposed by the Health Department. (Ord. 11-06. Passed 5-3-11.)
