§ 10-1. HOUSING COMMISSION.

   (a)   Findings of fact. The city commission hereby determines, finds and declares that:

         (1)   Unsanitary and unsafe inhabited dwelling accommodations exist in the city; and

         (2)   There is a shortage of safe and sanitary dwelling accommodations in the city available to families of low income at rentals they can afford; and

         (3)   There is need for a housing commission to be created for the city.

   (b)   Created. A housing commission is hereby created for the city.

   (c)   Name. The name of said commission shall be the "City of Nicholasville Municipal Housing Commission."
